A couple of housekeeping things....

First off, the three years in the making, Sidhe portfolio will be mailed out in October. Since it's been so long I'll be sending out emails in the coming weeks to confirm your current address.

Sketchbooks will also be out in October for Star Wars Fandays III and mailed around the same time.

I have a couple of commissions I'm behind on and those will be done in Sept.

I will be at DragonCon this year, but I won't have a table. Some business meetings, supporting friends, and seeing Terry Gilliam are my plans. Wrapping up work on this years Mr. Star Wars poster today.

I will however have a table at Star Wars Fandays plus some special surprises. Be sure to stop by.

I'm also wrapping up work on a several cards for White Wolf's new Vampire Expansion, "Heirs to the Blood"

And this month I'll also be working on Topps newest sketchcard set Star Wars Clone Wars Widevisions. It's the first Widevision sketchcard set and I'm honored to be involved.

Steampunk Magazine #6 is out today....I have a small illustration in there

Plus there is a couple of super secret sequential projects on the horizon. More information to come soon.

The Empire Muggs Back

I recently had the honor to be asked to do a customized Mighty Mugg for Lucasfilm's The Empire Muggs Back Project.

The Empire Muggs Back: Art for a Mighty Good Cause
Lucasfilm asked popular artists, comic book creators, toy designers and celebrities to take blank Mighty Muggs (donated by Hasbro) and transform them into their favorite Star Wars characters. The Muggs will be on display at this month's San Diego Comic-Con and then auctioned off by The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

When I first got the Mighty Mugg I had decided to do a stormtrooper but his diminutive size and fun proportions made me want to make him a wind up clockwork trooper

I molded his armor and weathered it a bit.

Then added old rusty clock parts to complete his look.

Stenciled 1138 on the back of his helmet

I included a green smiley face lollipop and he's all ready to be wound up and fight some rebels for a good cause.
