My website is down.
This evening at 4:55 in the data center that houses our servers, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding the electrical equipment room. Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no servers were damaged or lost.
I'm assured the site will be back up today.

In the meantime if you are interested in one of my sketchbooks, you can paypal me paul at $10 +$3 shipping & handling.

Thank you,

Did you have to get permission to be able to draw Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings characters for your sketchbook?

This is one of those grey areas of the comic book world. At any moment Lucasfilm, WETA or whoever can decide they don't want you to sell the book.
But most comic book artists put together sketchbooks often featuring licensed characters.

I think as long as you are respectful to the property, are printing preliminary sketches and not completed work, and are printing a very limited amount of the book, you should be okay. Also not actively posting advertising overtly using their characters. Just selling from your site and conventions.

There are some wonderful sketchbooks out there, even the big names like Charest, Lee, Hughes all often sell books at conventions. If you are lucky enough to get to one be on the look out. There is some beautiful art out there.
